Dar Aquas Guesthouse, Fez, Morocco

Rooms / Traditional House for rent

Dar Aquas

Dar Aquas is a beautifully restored, 5 bedroom boutique riad guesthouse in the heart of the ancient medina of Fez. Named after the neighbourhood and main street, Derb L'Aquas (Street of the Arches), the 300 year old restored Dar, as the traditional courtyard houses are known, features intricate original hand carved plaster decoration, 4 metre high carved cedar doors, hand cut tilework, and cedar beamed ceilings.

Dar Aquas is located in the oldest part of medina, 5 minutes from the Rcif Gate, close to taxis and public transport. Dar Aquas is near many of the historical sites of Fez including the Kairouine and Andalous Mosques, the Attarine Souk (market), several old medersas (Koranic schools) and the famous Fez Tanneries, all of which are within close walking distance.

Dar Aquas is owned and run by Irish couple Mary & Brian. We speak English, Moroccan Arabic, French & Gaelic.
